So there's this dude from Germany, Ronen, who's almost literally shoved Germany's shit in their faces. Meaning, he's started a project in which he's taken life size images of migrant/asylum seekers holding his/her papers and shoved them behind bars and grates of sewage canals. His goal is to show, not only the citizens of Jena but, the police and border patrol who they've unintentionally (or intentionally) put "away to places removed from visibility."
He "lights up the sewage systems" with every migrant and asylum seeker he places into the sewer. To capture people's attention, he placed lights with each image so that people will be too curious to think nothing of it. "What they will discover is not only their own waste but a full size picture of a migrant/asylum seeker displaying his/her papers."
